RS PRO Vertical 24 Way Machine Pin Socket

RS PRO introduces the series of machine pin sockets which offers a full range of exceptional quality, highly reliable DIP package sockets, including this 24 way through hole turned pin DIP socket, also known as DIL socket. RS PRO has designed these sockets to feature solid precision turned sleeves with a closed bottom design eliminating flux intrusion and solder wicking during soldering. Constructed with a stamped spring copper insert, this provides an excellent connection and allows repeated insertion and withdrawals. With Gold plated inner contact and tin-plated outer sleeve this socket is a Hi-Temp insulator for Hi-Temp soldering processes of up 260°C. Our insulators are molded of UL94V-0 high temp thermoplastic.

A DIL socket, also known as a DIP socket, means a dual in line package which is an electronic component with two parallel rows of pins that can be through-hole mounted to a printed circuit board or inserted directly into a socket.
