Looking for a quick and easy way to prolong the life of an already installed RJ45 cable assembly? This plastic strain relief hood from the RS PRO range can be fitted to a standard Ethernet data plug at any time. Simply snap the butterfly-style, one-piece moulding around the plug and cable to take the strain off the lead while also protecting the plug.

Retrofitting strain hoods to your cables is an easy way to future-proof an existing patch cord installation. This hood is compatible with the RJ45 plug commonly used to connect computers to an Ethernet-based local area network (LAN).

The hood is RoHS certified as containing only minimal levels of hazardous substances, as well as being compliant with Electrostatic Control Standards (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007).
