The 914MCE series from Honeywell are miniature limit switches. They are part of the range from Honeywell that are a smaller, lower cost solution. 914MCE limit switches have a standard 20 mm mounting footprint that adheres to most global mounting standards.

• 914MCE limit switches have a long mechanical lifespan up to 5 million operations.
• They are supplied either pre-wired or with an M12 connector (depending on model).
• These limit switches are a compact size.
• A wide operating temperature range of -25 °C to +85°C ensures that these limit switches are suitable for a range of applications.
• With direct acting contacts, the normally closed (NC) contact will open when it is actuated.

IP67
914MCE limit switches feature an IP67 rating. This means that hazardous parts are protected and the unit is dust-tight. The units are also protected against temporary immersion in 1m deep water for up to 30 minutes.

NEMA 1, 4, 12, 13
Type 1: Enclosures that meet Type 1 are for indoor use, and provide some limited protection for the enclosed equipment.
Type 4: Allows for indoor or outdoor use and provides a degree of protection against access to hazardous parts. The enclosures provide some protection from foreign objects (such as falling dirt and windblown dust) and the ingress of water (such as rain, snow or sleet alongside splashing water and hose directed water). Enclosures that meet NEMA 3 offer protection against ice forming externally.
Type 12: Limit switches that meet Type 12 requirements provide limited protection against dust, falling dirt and non-corrosive liquids.
Type 13: Enclosures that meet Type 13 are suited to harsh environments. Enclosures can be used indoors and provide protection against access to hazardous parts. They offer protection against solid objects such as falling dirt, windblown dirt, fibres and lint. They provide a level of protection from dripping and splashing water and other liquids such as spraying splashing and seepage of oil and non-corrosive coolants.
