In the sewage of the city of Barntrup, regulatory authorities have found increased levels of phosphorus, which have given the occasion to initiate a filter stage. And in connection with the removal of micropollutants, a so-called adsorption and filter stage has been installed, which cleans both micropollutants and phosphorus. In the cleaning stage, powdered activated carbon is added to remove the micropollutants from the wastewater. And this powdered activated carbon is then filtered out from the wastewater over a novel filter system, the so-called fuzzy filter. We can also remove microplastics from the wastewater. And especially in X areas, in other words in the coal silo, it is important to approach with as little electrical equipment as possible, but with pneumatics to ensure explosion protection.
