ABB Current Sensor, Cable Mounting, 0.5% FS Current Accuracy - CMS Series - 2CCA880108R0001

Keep tabs on the current flowing to your equipment with this solid-core current sensor from ABB. You can use it to measure current to an accuracy of 0.5% FS to help you analyse system performance, identify faults and keep your kit performing at its best. Thanks to a wide operating temperature range of -25°C to +70°C, you can use this sensor in harsh industrial environments. Straightforward cable mounting means it's a versatile piece of kit and installation is hassle-free.

Features & Benefits

• Wide input current range of 0.1 to 40A for wide compatibility

• Voltage rating of 690V AC / 1500V DC makes it suitable for measuring high-powered systems

• Compact dimensions of 17.4 (W) x 29 (H) x 41mm (D) save space in your installation

Applications

• Commercial buildings

• Factories

• Aerospace sector

What's the difference between a solid-core sensor and a split-core alternative?

Solid-core sensors, like this one, have an unbroken ring through which the conductor to be measured is passed. This keeps contaminants out of the workings and ensures results are reliably accurate. Split-core sensors have a hinged ring that opens and closes around the conductor, so the cable doesn't have to be disconnected during installation.
