Fluke Energy Monitor & Logger, ±(0.2%+0.01%) Accuracy, 500V Maximum Measurement - FLUKE-1738/EUS

This energy monitor & logger is a portable three‑phase power analyser designed to capture and Record voltage, current, power and harmonic data for industrial environments. It operates from its internal Li‑Ion battery or directly from the measured circuit and connects via USB, WiFi or Bluetooth to mobile and desktop software for remote viewing and data transfer. The instrument supports power quality and energy studies with continuous logging and event capture for detailed analysis.

Features & Benefits

• ±0.2% accuracy power meter delivering precise measurements
• 16‑bit resolution power logger for high‑definition sampling
• THD voltage and current measurement capturing harmonics to 50th
• WiFi Bluetooth USB energy logger enabling remote download
• Portable Li‑Ion battery energy monitor with four‑hour runtime
• IEC 61000‑4‑30 Class S energy monitor for standardised PQ metrics

**Applications**

• Suitable for load studies to verify electrical capacity before upgrades
• Ideal for energy assessments to quantify pre‑ and post‑improvement savings
• Used for harmonics analysis to locate distortion sources affecting equipment
• Can be used for event capture of dips, swells and inrush currents
• Suitable for compliance checks related to IEEE 519 harmonic limits

How does it handle long‑term logging without mains power?

It uses a customer‑replaceable Li‑Ion battery rated at 3.7V/9.25Wh providing about four hours runtime in standard mode and up to 5.5 hours in power‑saving mode, and can be powered directly from the measured circuit at 100V–500V via the safety input.

What sampling and storage capabilities support detailed analysis?

Data acquisition employs 16‑bit synchronous sampling at 10.24kHz (synchronised to mains), with internal flash memory sized to store typical multi‑week logging sessions and up to 500 events depending on settings.

Which inputs and measurement ranges are available for three‑phase systems?

There are four voltage inputs (three phases Plus neutral) rated to 1000Vrms and four current inputs with automatic sensor mode

compatible probe ranges support from milliamps up to several kiloamps depending on accessory.

How are power quality events recorded for troubleshooting?

The device captures full‑cycle RMS profiles and waveform snapshots with timestamps for dips, swells, interruptions and inrush currents, enabling correlation of transient severity with system behaviour.
