StarTech NLWH Series Ethernet Cable, Cat8 LAN Category, White - NLWH-3M-CAT8-PATCH

This Ethernet cable provides screened high-speed connectivity for 25/40Gbps network equipment in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces. It employs S/FTP pair shielding and a low smoke zero halogen jacket to limit emissions if heated. The lead is designed for high-frequency data transmission and supports PoE++ power delivery to attached devices while remaining compatible with earlier Cat6/6a and Cat5/5e installations.

Features and Benefits:

• 2000MHz frequency increases throughput for high-bandwidth links
• S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference for stable links
• 100W PoE++ delivery powers demanding network devices
• 26AWG Pure bare copper lowers resistance for improved conductivity
• Gold-plated connectors rated beyond 750 insertions ensure contact longevity

Applications

• Suitable for 40GBASE-T switch interconnects in data centres
• Used with SFP copper modules for short-range high-speed links
• Ideal for powering PoE cameras and access points directly
• Can be used in confined cable routes requiring bend resilience
• Suitable for installations requiring LSZH materials in transit environments

What conductor construction is used and why?

It uses 26AWG solid Pure bare copper conductors to provide uniform conductivity and minimise signal loss.

How is electromagnetic shielding implemented?

Each twisted pair is wrapped in aluminium-mylar foil with an overall tinned copper braid to enhance EMI resistance.

Which connector durability and plating are specified?

The RJ45 plugs have 50-micro gold plating and are rated for more than 750 mating cycles.

What operating temperatures does it tolerate?

The cable operates between 0°C and 50°C and can be stored between -20°C and 60°C.
