The ISSI Serial Flash memory provides a versatile storage solution with high flexibility and performance in a simplified low pin count package. ISSI’s Industry Standard Serial Interface Flash is designed for systems that require Compact size, low pin count, and low power consumption. It uses a 4-wire SPI Interface comprising Serial Data Input (SI), Serial Data Output (SO), Serial Clock (SCK), and Chip Enable pins, which can also be configured for multi-I/O functionality. The device supports standard, Dual Output, Quad Output SPI, and Dual and Quad I/O modes. With clock frequencies up to 133MHz, it achieves data throughput of up to 66Mbytes/s through an effective clock rate of 532MHz. The IS25xP series also supports DTR (Double Transfer Rate) commands for address and data transfers on both clock edges, delivering performance that can surpass 16-bit Parallel Flash memories and enabling efficient XIP (execute in place) operation.
