Use this RS PRO holding magnet if you need to ensure the safe and quick opening and closing of doors, gates and valves. It's used for a wide range of applications, such as building security systems and laboratories. This electro-holding magnet requires power to turn on and unlocks when the power is turned off. This makes it useful for a wide range of equipment, such as devices to hold doors open in the event of a fire.

The part has threaded holes in the rear, so it's easy to mount onto any standard door. Engineers have stringently tested this door magnet for quality, durability and safety. It also has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP54, so it's protected from water spray and limited amounts of dust and other particles. For enhanced resistance to rust and corrosion, it features a bright zinc finish.
