Druck Intrinsically Safe Advanced Modular Calibrators
DPI 620 GENII IS is Druck's next-generation instrument for calibration, configuration and maintenance of electrical, frequency, pressure and temperature devices in measurement and control applications. It can measure and source a wide range of parameters simultaneously including mA, mV, V, Ohms, frequency, RTDs, T/Cs, and HART/Fieldbus digital signals. It includes a loop power supply to energise devices and control loops and a stabilised DC voltage supply for ratio metric transducers.
We have a variety of Druck Intrinsically Safe Advanced Modular Calibrators in our offer:
• DPI620G-IS-FFPB (123-6026) - Genii intrinsically safe Advanced modular calibrator and HART/Fieldbus/Profibus communicator
• DPI620G-IS-L (123-6022) - Genii intrinsically safe Advanced modular calibrator without communicator
• DPI620G-IS-PB (123-6025) - Genii intrinsically safe Advanced modular calibrator and HART/Profibus communicator
• DPI620G-IS (123-6023) - Genii intrinsically safe Advanced modular calibrator and HART communicator
• DPI620G-IS-FF (123-6024) - Genii intrinsically safe Advanced modular calibrator and HART/Fieldbus
Features & Benefits
• Multifunction capabilities, electrical frequency, temperature and pressure
• HART, Foundation Fieldbus & Profibus communicator (depending on the choice of model)
• Optional Fieldbus communicator
• Modular re-arrangeable and expandable concept
• Each individual component can be used as a stand-alone instrument
• Allows significant inventory reductions
• Improves operator safety and simplifies training
• Reduces cost ownership
• Provides simultaneous measurement and source capabilities of mA, V, Ohms, frequency, pressure, RTDs and T/Cs, HART, Fieldbus for the set-up, testing and calibration of most types of process instruments. (Transmitters, transducers, gauges/indicators, switched, proximity detectors, counters, RTDs, thermocouple, and valve positioners
• ATEX and IECEx approval for hazardous zones 1 and 2
• Multi-functionality, a great feature of Druck's intrinsically safe, Advanced modular calibration systems. Each one of the 4 interchangeable Basic components perform duties that previously required a multitude of different systems.
• The easy-to-detach battery pack allows hot-swapping in hazardous areas and includes an LED charge indicator to show battery condition without the need to turn the device on
• Regularly used or customised routines can be saved in the favourites menu
• Intrinsically safe Lithium-Polymer battery provides reliable power for a full 8-hour shift
• Handheld unit Compact and lightweight - only 1.1 kg/2.4 lb
• Data logging up to 32 Gb storage, enough for a complete database of procedures and results
• Fully documenting – automated procedures, PASS/FAIL errors, results storage
• 1-year uncertainty for mA 0.016% RDG + 0.0065% FS
• 1-year uncertainty for pressure from 0.025% FS
• weatherproof design enables it to handle the toughest jobs on site
The DPI 620-IS series combines an Advanced multi-function calibrator with world-class pressure measurement generation, now available with a new and improved design:
• Smartphone technology, touch display and UI (user interface) which helps support gestures and swipes with a flatter menu structure
• A new digital platform and modems which support HART and Fieldbus applications
• A new dashboard, allowing a user to promptly launch applications
• The new TASK menu allows for single touch configuration, useful for common devices such as pressure and temperature transmitters, transducers, switches and valve positioners
Did you know?
The "IS" in the name of the multifunction calibrator stands for intrinsically safe, if an item is intrinsically safe it means that it is incapable of releasing sufficient electrical and thermal energy under normal or abnormal conditions. This results in the item not being able to cause ignition of a specific hazardous atmospheric mixture in its most easily ignited concentration.
