This multifunction tester is a portable handheld electrical tester designed to verify fixed wiring safety and perform comprehensive installation checks in domestic, commercial and industrial environments. It combines insulation resistance, continuity, voltage and frequency measurement, loop impedance and RCD testing in a battery-powered instrument that supports wireless data transfer and on-site collaboration.

Which RCD types can it test and how are DC-sensitive devices handled?

It tests Type A, AC, Type S, G and B/B+ variants and includes a VAR mode to generate 6mA/60mA/200mA smooth DC test currents for EV-related RCDs.

How is loop impedance and fault current derived from measurements?

The instrument measures loop or line resistance and divides the measured mains voltage by that resistance to compute prospective earth fault current or prospective short-circuit current.

What power source and battery configuration does it use in the field?

It runs on six AA (1.5V IEC LR6) cells and provides approximately 200h of operational life under typical use.

How does the insulation PreTest function protect connected equipment?

The PreTest requires L, N and PE connections, it halts the insulation sequence and gives Visual and audible warnings if appliances are detected, preventing damage.

What ingress protection and safety categories apply to use on live installations?

The unit is rated IP40 and meets overvoltage categories CAT III 500V and CAT IV 300V for use on distribution and service incoming circuits.
