Gossen-Metrawatt Multimeter, 600V Maximum DC Voltage, 10A Maximum DC Current - M249A

This multimeter is a handheld digital instrument designed to measure electrical quantities across AC and DC systems with high precision. It provides true RMS readings and a wide range of functions including voltage, current, resistance, frequency, capacitance, temperature and diode checks, intended for use in electrical testing, diagnostics and electronic development environments. The instrument is battery powered and supplied with an accredited DAkkS calibration certificate.

Features and Benefits:

• *Made in Germany - including DAkkS calibration certificate and 3-year warranty (extendable to 5 years)
• ±0.02% rdg + 15 Digits DC voltage accuracy gives precise measurements
• 10 nA resolution for DC and AC current detects small currents
• True RMS measurement ensures correct AC readings on non‑sinusoidal signals
• 100kHz maximum frequency supports high‑speed electronics testing
• CAT III and CAT IV safety ratings permit higher‑voltage site work

Applications

• Suitable for commissioning in industrial distribution systems
• Ideal for servicing electronic equipment and circuit diagnostics
• Used for field testing on installations requiring a high safety category
• Can be used for laboratory measurements needing a high resistance range
• Suitable for thermal checks and component capacitance verification

What power source does it use?

It operates from standard AA batteries and offers approximately 120 h of battery life.

What resistance range and resolution are available?

It measures up to 60,000 kΩ with a resolution down to 10 mΩ.

What are the maximum voltage and current ratings?

The instrument measures up to 600 V on AC and DC and up to 10 A on AC or DC.

Is it certified for calibration?

It is supplied with a DAkkS calibration certificate confirming traceable calibration data.
