Fluke Network Cable Tester, 8h Battery Life, 624g Weight - LIQ-KIT-IS60

This network cable tester is a handheld instrument designed to verify copper cabling performance and diagnose Ethernet connectivity issues on LANs. It combines frequency-based cable qualification up to 10Gb/s with switch diagnostics and IP ping capability, enabling technicians to assess cabling bandwidth and Basic network reachability in operational environments from 0–45°C.

Features & Benefits

• Reports maximum cabling speed up to 10Gb/s for pass/fail decisions
• Measures length to faults and locates opens, shorts and unterminated pairs
• Performs LLDP/CDP diagnostics to identify switch name, port and VLAN
• Executes IPv4/IPv6 ping tests including DNS and gateway response times
• Applies PoE load test and shows loaded power and voltage values
• Stores up to 1000 test results for later export via USB‑C

Applications

• Suitable for commissioning 10GBASE-T and multi‑gig links in data rooms
• Ideal for validating PoE supply to cameras and wireless access points
• Used for troubleshooting switch port configuration and VLAN mapping
• Can be used for locating and tracing cabling with tonal output
• Suitable for documenting cabling installations with PC report export

How is the unit charged and how long does it operate between charges?

It charges via a USB‑C connection and the internal lithium‑ion pack typically provides about 8 hours of runtime.

Which interfaces does it use to connect to copper network links?

The test port accepts standard 8‑pin modular plugs and supports both RJ45 and RJ11 connections via the supplied adaptor.

How does it detect PoE characteristics on a live port?

It negotiates power using hardware signature and software protocols, reports powered pairs and advertised power class, and can apply a load to measure loaded Watts and voltage.

What environmental conditions limit normal operation?

Normal operation is specified between 0°C and 45°C with defined relative humidity ranges and altitude limits for use with or without an AC adaptor.

How are test records exported and managed?

Results are stored onboard and can be exported to LinkWare PC over USB‑C for PDF report generation and archival.
