The B&R Industrial Automation GmbH Bus controller supports CANopen fieldbus and provides 16 digital channels configurable as inputs or outputs. It features auto-configuration of I/O modules and easy I/O setup using Automation Studio V4.3 or later. The controller maintains constant response times even with large data volumes supporting up to 32 Rx and 32 Tx PDOs and offers configurable I/O cycles from 0.5 to 4 ms. It enables connection of up to 253 X2X Link I/O modules via CANopen protocol with support for all operating modes including synchronous, event, and polling modes, PDO linking, life and node guarding, heartbeat, emergency objects, and more. The system allows transition between IP20 and IP67 protection by directly connecting X20, X67, or XV modules up to 100 meters apart across control cabinet boundaries.
