SKF Seal, 24mm Inside Diameter, 37mm Outside Diameter - 24X37X7 HMSA10 RG

This seal provides rotary shaft sealing between rotating and stationary components to retain oil or grease and exclude contaminants. It features a rubber outer diameter and a single elastomeric sealing lip with an auxiliary non-contacting lip and garter spring to maintain contact with the shaft in contaminated environments.

Features & Benefits

• Permissible circumferential speed 4.86 m/s supports moderate rotation
• Operating temperature range −40°C to 100°C extends usable environments
• Short-term temperature tolerance to 120°C allows brief thermal spikes
• Auxiliary lip Plus dust lip improves contaminant exclusion
• Garter spring maintains radial contact for consistent sealing
• Designed to accommodate shaft misalignment for installation flexibility

Applications

• Suitable for electric motor shaft sealing in automation equipment
• Ideal for gearbox lubrication retention in mechanical assemblies
• Used with rotating shafts in electrical drive systems
• Can be used for bearing housing oil Seals in industrial machinery

What shaft sizes can it be fitted to?

It is intended for shafts with an internal diameter of 24mm and fits into housings sized for a 37mm bore.

How fast can the seal operate without compromise?

The seal is rated for circumferential speeds up to 4.86 m/s and rotational speeds up to 3,840 r/min.

What material is the sealing lip MADE from and why is that useful?

The lip is manufactured from nitrile rubber (NBR), providing resistance to oil and grease commonly used in industrial equipment.

How does the outside diameter construction affect installation?

The outside diameter is rubber-reinforced over metal, allowing an interference fit in housings while providing radial stiffness.

Are there pressure limitations for its use?

The seal is specified for a pressure differential of 0.03 N/mm, suited to low-pressure sealing applications.
