Barcode Reader/Scanner Module by Adafruit has a Camera inside and takes 100 photographs per second instead of the usual scanning mirror assembly. With this compact barcode scanner, decode 1D (striped) barcode in your project. The module is less likely to get damaged or out of alignment.

A USB cable is connected to the module making it easy to connect to a computer, BeagleBone or Raspberry Pi.
