SMC Vacuum Generator, Vacuum Functionality - ZU07LA

This Compact vacuum generator is a small in-line ejector designed to create vacuum from compressed Air for automation tasks. It operates across a practical pressure band and accepts a range of tubing materials, making it suitable for integration into pick-and-place, handling and light assembly equipment within electrical, electronics and mechanical workflows.

Features & Benefits

• Maximum flow rate 16 l/min provides steady suction capacity
• Maximum vacuum pressure -90 kPa enables deep evacuation of cavities
• Air consumption 28 l/min reduces supply demand during operation
• Usable with FEP, PFA, nylon, soft nylon and polyurethane tubing for flexibility
• Pressure range 0.1 to 0.6 MPa allows compatibility with standard plant supplies

Applications

• Suitable for pick-and-place in electronics assembly
• Ideal for small-component handling in mechanical cells
• Used with pneumatic grippers for PCB transfer operations
• Can be used for vacuum hold-down during light manufacturing

What connection options are available for integration?

One-touch fittings are provided for ø4 and ø6 tubing to simplify installation with common pneumatic lines.

How does ambient temperature affect operation?

The unit functions between -5 and 50 °C and must not be exposed to freezing conditions to maintain suction performance.

What nozzle sizes are offered and how do they affect performance?

Nozzle diameters 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 and 0.7mm allow trade-offs between suction flow and vacuum level for different workpieces.

What is the device mass and how does that aid mounting?

Weight ranges from 2.4 g to 4.3 g, permitting low-mass mounting on moving assemblies with minimal inertial impact.
