RS PRO 1 Phase 960 VA Variac, 1 Output, 240 V, 4 A


Need a variable transformer to step voltages up or down? This RS PRO single-phase Variac model uses mains electricity to deliver a continuously variable AC output between 0 and 240 V AC. Variable transformers are used in a wide range of applications, including equipment testing, adjustment of resistance-type heating elements and dimming incandescent lighting.

The transformer's robust body is resin-cast for durability and low maintenance. Screw terminals make connections easy and it comes complete with a knob and dial so you can adjust the output accurately.

This transformer is Restriction of Hazardous Substances certified, meaning it contains only minimal levels of harmful substances. It also meets ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 Electrostatic Control Standards, so it's protected against large static voltages that can damage internal circuitry.
