    Vacuum Regulators

A vacuum regulator is a type of control valve that decreases the pressure of a fluid to its optimal value at the output stage. This is achieved by opening and closing valves to control airflow. The primary objective is either to increase absolute process pressure or reduce vacuum levels.

What are vacuum regulators used for?

Pneumatic air preparation is crucial to maintaining the proper working order of pressure control systems.

A vacuum regulator is therefore used to regulate airflow and maintain a constant output pressure by giving the operator the ability to control the volume of air in the system. Some regulators are one directional and others multi-directional, depending on the pressure range needed for the hydraulic system to work correctly.

    Types of vacuum regulators

    • Single-sided connection and electro (electronic) vacuum regulators are the most commonly used.
    • Single-sided connection regulators get placed between the vacuum pump and suction cup to control vacuum line pressure.
    • Electro (electronic) vacuum regulators offer step-less control of air pressure correlative to an electrical signal, to secure an output pressure that is proportional to the input signal.
