RS PRO Grey Cat7a Cable, Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH), 500 m Length
The RS PRO grey cat7a cable delivers the high-speed connection needed for use in data centres. It's a shielded, twisted-pair cable and is insulated to reduce noise and crosstalk.
This RS PRO cable is ideal for connecting servers where you need rapid and reliable data transfer. The cable uses a solid bare copper conductor, with core strands measuring 0.62 mm. Its a four-twisted-pair cable with each pair colour-coded for easy identification. When exposed to fire, the low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) outer sheath doesn't emit dense smoke or toxic fumes. That means the cabling can be used in enclosed areas where ventilation is poor, such as on trains and aircraft.
This seven-strand, unterminated cable has a length of 500 m and an outer diameter of 8.2 mm. It's IEC61156-5-2009 (horizontal LAN wire standards) compliant and is frequently used in wiring for telephone and computer networks.
