Fluke Current Clamp, 300A Maximum AC Current, 450A Maximum DC Current - FLUKE I310S

This current clamp is a Hall-effect probe designed for non-intrusive measurement of both AC and DC currents when used with oscilloscopes, multimeters or recording instruments. It converts current into a voltage output via a BNC connection and is suitable for field and bench work where accurate waveform capture and DC measurement are required.

Features & Benefits

• ±1% accuracy Plus offset for precise measurement across ranges
• 30A/300A AC and ±45A/450A DC selectable ranges for versatility
• DC to 20kHz small-signal bandwidth for transient and steady-state capture
• Manual output zero adjust for quick baseline correction
• 2m cable with BNC output for easy connection to test equipment
• 19mm conductor aperture for single-core conductor access

Applications

• Suitable for inrush current diagnostics on motors and drives
• Ideal for waveform capture on oscilloscopes in test labs
• Used with multimeters for service and commissioning checks
• Can be used for DC current measurement in battery systems
• Used for maintenance checks in automation and control panels

What power source does it require and how long does it run?

It uses a single 9V alkaline battery and provides approximately 30 h of operation with a low-battery indicator.

How does it handle high short-duration currents?

The probe tolerates inrush events up to 600A AC rms maximum without damage when used within specified limits.

What environmental conditions can it operate in?

It functions between -10°C and +50°C and is rated for 15%–85% non-condensing humidity during operation.

How is safety addressed for measurements on live conductors?

The probe is designed for measurements on uninsulated conductors up to 300V and meets relevant IEC safety standards for use in industrial environments.

What output sensitivity and loading should be expected by instruments?

Output sensitivity varies with range from 10 mV/A to 1 mV/A and requires input impedance greater than 10 kΩ with capacitance up to 100 pF.
