StarTech Ethernet Cable, 0.5m Cable Length, Grey Jacket - N6PAT50CMGRS

This ethernet cable provides a Compact Cat6 patch connection for high-density installations where space and airflow matter. It is a short, unscreened LSZH lead designed to support Gigabit networks and PoE applications while emitting minimal smoke and toxic fumes if exposed to fire. The cable uses stranded copper conductors and snagless RJ45 plugs to aid routing and connector protection in crowded racks and between devices.

Features and Benefits:

• Supports 10 Gbps data transfer for high-bandwidth links
• Delivers 100W PoE++ for powering remote devices
• 28 AWG stranded copper for improved conductivity
• LSZH jacket for low-toxicity emissions in confined spaces
• Snagless RJ45 connectors reduce clip damage when routing

Applications

• Suitable for high-density data centre patching
• Ideal for Gigabit LAN links in office environments
• Used with PoE cameras and powered network devices
• Can be used for short interconnections in patch panels
• Appropriate for enclosed transport cabins and trains

What conductor configuration does it use?

It uses a 4-pair unshielded twisted-pair configuration with stranded copper conductors.

What operating temperature range is supported?

The cable is rated to operate between +10°C and +80°C.

How is the connector plating specified?

The RJ45 contacts are gold-plated with a 50μm thickness for consistent mating.

Has the cable been tested to Cat6 standards?

Each cable is individually tested to ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6 parameters using a Fluke DSX2-8000 analyser.
