RS PRO Dew Point Temperature Detector with Dual Laser Pointer
Introducing the RS PRO RS-8662 infrared (IR) thermometer. This RS PRO infrared dew point temperature detector is a handheld device that can detect environmental temperature, humidity and dew point temperature and can analyse the potential for mildew. This instrument also measures surface temperature using an infrared sensor and includes dual laser pointers for better and more accurate targeting. This non-invasive and non-contact method of temperature measurement removes the issue of having to rely on using a physical contact on the item to get a reading from it, making it ideal for use in environments like steelworks, oil and chemical production, environmental testing, gas production industries and much more. This dew point temperature detector provides fast sampling with high accuracy, making it an incredibly useful and versatile tool across a range of applications.
Features and Benefits:
• The RS PRO infrared dew point temperature detector has an ergonomic grip for ultimate user comfort and a trigger lock feature to allow for continuous use
• The dual-laser targeting allows for better and more accurate targeting to ensure optimum measurement accuracy
• This infrared thermometer has a temperature range of -50°C to +260°C with an accuracy of ±1 % of the reading (option for reading in Celsius or Fahrenheit)
• The relative humidity range for this device is 0-100%RH
• The LCD display with a backlight feature allows for easy to see results on the screen but also allows the instrument to be used in low-light environments
• This IR unit has a distance to spot ratio of 12:1
• It has a three colour LED mildew indicator (green, yellow and red)
• The selectable C° / F° display and automatic data hold feature allows for greater versatility across a range of applications
• This IR thermometer features an auto power-off function to save the battery usage
• The unit is powered by 9 V battery (supplied)

Applications:
Dew point temperature detectors or non-contact thermometers measure temperature and humidity then calculates the dew point and warns when conditions for fungi/mildew growth exist. Infrared thermometers are an essential device for individuals who need to measure the temperatures of something without physically touching the item. They can be found in the following areas:
• HVAC
• Industrial processes
• Environmental testing
• Scientific and Educational

What is Dew Point Temperature?
The dew point temperature is the temperature at which the air is completely saturated with water. If the air temperature falls below the dew point temperature, the water begins to condense.
With a dew point temperature detector or infrared thermometer, you can measure the dew point temperature and the air temperature and prevent unwanted condensation which can harm and damage electrical devices. A device like this can easily take a temperature reading without making physical contact with the item you are measuring.
