    Maximise uptime, safeguard machine operators, and secure your guard door with the Sensaguard 440N-Z21S16B RFID Non-Contact Safety Switch by Allen Bradley Guardmaster.


    This switch has high tamper resistance and dependability due to advanced latest generation Radio Frequency Identification technology for coding and inductive technology for sensing. It has tolerance to door misalignment and a large sensing range. It is expertly designed to be installed on machine guard doors and provides a superior level of security and protection to reduce risk of injury, damage to equipment, and overall downtime. The Sensaguard range is perfectly suited to meet a wide range of industrial applications.


    The 440N-Z21S16B Sensaguard switch has a 10m cable and an 18mm standard code actuator. It offers fast diagnostics and door status due to the LED indication located on the switch. The housing is an 18mm plastic barrel, in red. This cost-efficient safety switch has an excellent environmental protection rating of IP69K, which ensures that it can withstand powerful jets of water and is dust-tight. It has a supply voltage rating of 24Vdc and the assured sensing distance is 15mm. This unit can be connected standard safety relays, SmartGuards and safety I/O blocks. It also maintains PLe, SIL 3, Cat 4 rating even with multiple units connected in series.

    What is RFID?


    RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification, which is a non-contact method of transferring digital data via radio frequency waves. Devices with this type of wireless communication usually consist of an RFID tag, an RFID reader, and an antenna. The tag transmits data when triggered by an electromagnetic pulse from the reader. This technology is used widely in many industries, for example with tracking inventory goods, personnel tracking and identification, and restricted area access. Non-contact switches with this technology are highly tamper-proof as they cannot be manipulated, providing a higher level of security.
