440N-Z21SS2HN9 Safety Switch
The 440N-Z21SS2HN9 Sensaguard switch has rectangular housing in red and a 6 inch Pigtail with 8- pin Micro (M12) connector. It features LED indication for rapid troubleshooting and door status, saving you valuable time. The assured sensing distance is 18mm and it comes with a standard code actuator.
This unit has an excellent IP69K rating, which ensures that it is fully dust-tight and can withstand high pressure wash-downs. It also has margin indication and is ideally suited for use with sliding, hinged, and lift-off safety guards. This non-contact safety switch can be connected standard safety relays, SmartGuards and safety I/O blocks. It maintains PLe, SIL 3, Cat 4 rating even with multiple units connected in series.
Safety outputs: 2 x PNP, 0.2A, max: Status: ON (+24V DC)
Auxiliary outputs: 1 x PNP, 0.2A, max Auxiliary Output
Auxiliary outputs: 1 x PNP, 0.2A, max Auxiliary Output
Note: This device can be used with Guardlink, a new safety linking technology from Allen Bradley Guardmaster. Guardlink simplifies and reduces the connection time of the safety system, whilst providing real-time diagnostic information over Ethernet IP. This makes it simple to identify the location of the device that has tripped the system, thus reducing downtime, and improving the machines overall efficiency. For more details, please go to the Guardlink brochure.
Rockwell Automation is a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, and brings smart manufacturing to life. With a long legacy of creating Allen-Bradley® integrated control and information solutions, we help make you as productive as possible. Our portfolio of sensing, safety and motor control products can support your move towards smart machine applications. Allen-Bradley® IO-Link sensors are data-enabled and communicate with all field buses, providing diagnostic and health information about the device before a machine stops, and enabling quick production changeovers through fast parameter downloads from PLCs into the device. This reduces machine downtime and increases manufacturing OEE. For safety components, products with built-in diagnostics simplify the set-up of the smart device, and reduce maintenance, leading to a more efficient, machine data-driven approach.
What is RFID?
RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification, which is a non-contact method of transferring digital data via radio frequency waves. Devices with this type of wireless communication usually consist of an RFID tag, an RFID reader, and an antenna. The tag transmits data when triggered by an electromagnetic pulse from the reader. This technology is used widely in many industries, for example with tracking inventory goods, personnel tracking and identification, and restricted area access. Non-contact switches with this technology are highly tamper-proof as they cannot be manipulated, providing a higher level of security.
