An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is designed to give your computers, servers, server rooms, and data centres power in the case of any unexpected energy cut-off or in similar applications. These power supply devices contain a battery that guarantees power to your computer system for a certain period. These enable the user time to save the current task and shut down the software. Uninterruptable power supplies ensure mission-critical data loss can be prevented.

RS PRO online uninterruptible power supplies have been specifically designed for operation in low or poor power areas. These are true double-conversion enabled UPS that does not require a transfer switch as the primary power source passes through the batteries. What's the difference between an offline and an online UPS?;An offline UPS supplies the AC mains power directly to the load under normal conditions and switches to the battery backup in the event of an outage. This means that there is a brief disruption of about 5ms (milliseconds) to the power supply. An online UPS supplies the AC electricity through a rectifier and inverter at all times, so there's no interruption in power.
