Allen Bradley Guardmaster 440E Lifeline 4 Rope Pull Switch
Secure vital protection for personnel around hazardous moving machinery by implementing constant emergency stop access with the 440E Lifeline 4 Cable Switch, by Allen Bradley Guardmaster.
The Cable Pull switches have a steel wire rope which is connected to latching pull switches, so that when the rope is pulled in any direction along the length the switch is tripped to stop the machine, minimising risk of injury and risk of damage to machinery.
The 440E Lifeline 4 is a versatile switch that incorporates many features in one unit to provide uniquely exceptional protection, ease-of-use and installation, and resilience, such as:
It has a rope status indicator, allowing for simple set up and easy maintenance for spans of up to 125m.
It also features a mushroom head emergency stop button for E-stop access at the extreme ends of the span
This switch has a positive mode mechanism, ensuring that the contacts are instantly latched open upon actuation. They can be reset only through intentional action by turning the blue reset knob. Its design defends against nuisance tripping and the effects of thermal expansion.

This safety device can be used with GuardLink™, a new safety linking technology from Allen Bradley Guardmaster. GuardLink™ simplifies and reduces the connection time of the safety system, whilst providing real-time diagnostic information over Ethernet IP. This makes it simple to identify the location of the device that has tripped the safety system, thus reducing downtime, and improving the machines overall efficiency. For more details, please go to the GuardLink™ brochure.
Standards: Designed to conform to EN418, EN292, EN60947-5-1, ISO 13850, BS 5304.

440E-L13147 Lifeline 4 Cable Switch with E-Stop
The 440E-L13147 grab wire switch has 4 Normally Closed safety contacts and features M20 conduit entry. It has excellent durability due to its housing material, which is comprised of heavy-duty painted zinc-based diecast alloy (LM24). It also has a yellow body with a blue reset button to enable clear visibility of the device in a panic situation. It has an operating temperature of -25°C to 80°C (-13…176°) and an ingress protection rating of IP66, which ensures that it is both dust-tight and protected against jets of water. This switch is well suited for installation along or around awkward machinery, such as conveyor belts and can switch up to a span of 125m.
What is a cable pull switch?
A cable pull switch, also known as grab wire switches or rope pull switches, are a common type of emergency stop device and safeguarding measure. They allow personnel to stop moving machinery anywhere along its length instead of at just one point on the machine and can be used over a long distance. This is useful if there is a chance that someone may become entangled in lengthy moving machinery, such as conveyor belts. These devices are hung by a wire around the machinery and can be operated by pulling the cord. This isolates the circuit and stops the hazard.
