This safety switch is a non-contact RFID interlock designed to monitor guards and access points in industrial automation. It provides two safe outputs and a supplementary auxiliary contact for integration into safety circuits, operating from a 24V DC supply. The unit features multiple Active sensing faces and supports versatile actuation directions for flexible installation in confined or complex guard arrangements.

Features and Benefits:

• SIL 3 safety level delivering high functional safety performance
• Category 4 PL e providing robust risk-reduction capability
• Self-monitoring OSSD outputs limiting unsafe output behaviour
• IP69K protection enabling pressure-wash cleaning compatibility
• 3M cable length allowing straightforward cabinet or field connection

Applications

• Suitable for monitoring machine guards on production lines
• Used with safety relays for series-connected safety architectures
• Ideal for food-industry cells requiring hygienic wash-down protection
• Can be used for multi-door access control on automated machinery
• Used for retrofit safety upgrades where Compact sensors are required

What electrical connections are provided for control integration?

It uses a 7-wire cable with dedicated OSSD outputs, enable inputs and 24V/0V supply conductors.

How does the device indicate status or faults?

Built-in LEDs provide status display and diagnostics indication for installation and troubleshooting.

What temperature range can be expected during operation?

The unit operates between -30°C and +70°C for devices with applicable serial numbers and otherwise -10°C to +70°C.

What is the typical response behaviour in safety chains?

Response time is 40ms with release and detection timings affected by downstream series connections.

Which mechanical material contributes to environmental resistance?

The housing is MADE from VISTAL providing the structural enclosure for the sensor.
