Telemecanique Sensors Reflector for Use with XU Series, RoHS Standard

Telemecanique OsiSense XU Photoelectric sensors provide you everything you require from photoelectric proximity sensors for applications within material handling to food and beverage industries. An OsiSense Photoelectric has a light beam transmitter (light-emitting diode, LED) and a light-sensitive receiver (photo-transistor). A light-emitting diode is an electronic semi-conductor component emitting light when electric current flows through it. The light can be visible or invisible, depending on the transmission wavelength.

In short, it enables retroreflective sensing, a method for managing high-tech logistics. When paired with a photoelectric transmitter/receiver module, the reflector catches and returns a beam of electromagnetic radiation to create an invisible, unbroken field. If an object passes through that field, the beam is disrupted and the receiver interprets the altered intensity to report the presence, absence or distance of whatever you need to count.
