Kestrel 2000 Hand-Held Thermo-Anemometer


From Kestrel, the 2000 series rotating vane anemometer designed for measuring wind speed, temperature and wind chill. The hand-held, pocket-sized meter provides accurate readings without compromising on functionality and performance. With fully sealed electronics (IP67) the robust anemometer even floats if accidentally dropped into water. Constructed from impact resistant and corrosion proof materials the Kestrel 2000 anemometer is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, engineers, and even the emergency services.

Compact in design the Kestrel 2000 utilises high precision bearings and a lightweight rotating vane to deliver exact airflow measurements. Even at lower speeds. In addition, the in-built temperature sensor is able to quickly determine a constant temperature reading from the externally mounted thermistor sensor.

With 3 buttons below the display, the operation is simple, the user can view the collected data in current, maximum and average wind speed. Alternatively, temperature and wind chill can be viewed. All measurement results are clearly depicted on the liquid crystal display even in low light levels with the additional backlight feature. To help conserve battery life, an auto switch off function automatically turns off the handheld meter, 45 minutes after the last key press.
