Kestrel 3000 Environmental Meter


From Kestrel, the Kestrel 3000 series rotating vane anemometer designed for measuring wind speed, temperature, wind chill, relative humidity, heat index and dew point. The comprehensive pocket-sized meter provides accurate readings without compromising on functionality and performance. With fully sealed electronics (IP67) the robust anemometer even floats if accidentally dropped into water. Constructed from impact resistant and corrosion proof materials the Kestrel 3000 anemometer is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, engineers, and even the emergency services.

Compact in design, the handheld instrument utilises high precision bearings and a lightweight rotating vane to deliver precise air flow measurement. Even at low speed. In addition the built-in temperature sensor is able to quickly determine a constant temperature reading for the externally mounted thermistor.

With 3 buttons below the display, operation is simple, the user can view the collected data in current, maximum and average wind speed. Temperature, wind chill, relative humidity, heat index and dew point can also be viewed. All measurement results are clearly depicted on the liquid crystal display, even in low light levels, thanks to the backlight function. To help conserve battery life, an auto switch off function automatically turns off the instrument, 45 minutes after the last key press.
