RS PRO 10-Way IDC Connector Plug for Through Hole Mount, 2-Row

Need to connect to a conductor for applications like computing? This 10-way, straight IDC connector from RS PRO is suitable for through-hole mounting. Its sharp contact points pierce cable insulation to make contact with the conductor, so you don't have to worry about striping any wires. The solder spill connections are on a 0.1-inch grid, suitable for standard 1.6-mm thick printed circuit boards.

Gold-plated contacts keep resistance down to just 20 mΩ at dc 100 mA. The 30% glass-filled PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) material makes the housing sturdy and offers insulation resistance of 5,000 mΩ a minute at dc 500V. It's also heat-resistant, meaning this connector works between -45˚C and +105˚C.

The plug has been rigorously tested to ensure it won't damage equipment via electrostatic discharge (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007). It's also RoHS certified to contain only minimal levels of hazardous substances.
