RS PRO Shorting Link Female Straight Black Closed Top, Handle Pull 2 Way 1 Row 2.54 mm Pitch


This shorting link is part of the RS PRO range of PCB (printed circuit board) connectors. It has a thumb pull to make handling easy and tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts for precise electrical connections.

The female component fits 0.6 mm square headers with a minimum recommended header length of 4.3 mm. It’s encased in black glass-filled PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), a strong thermoplastic that provides good insulation as well as protection to the device. This housing is also UL (Underwriters Laboratories) 94 V rated, guaranteeing its flame retardant properties. It has two contacts and is straight with a closed top.

Shorting links are used in electrical circuits to open, close or bypass a part of the circuit. They are frequently found in the design of PCBs. RS PRO stocks a range of open and closed shorting links that vary in contact material and size.
