RS PRO Shorting Link, Female Straight Red Open Top, 2-Way, 1 Row, 2.54 mm Pitch


Use this adaptable connector from RS PRO to bridge and bypass parts of motherboards and other electronic circuits. It's designed to be mated with a 0.64 mm² header for a very dependable connection.

The polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) housing provides insulation to phosphor bronze contacts for increased conductivity. These contacts are tin-plated to improve corrosion resistance and make the job of inserting them onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) easier. This shorting link operates within a temperature range of -65°C and +150°C, so it can be used in extremes of heat and cold. It's also passed Underwriter Laboratories UL94 V-0 fire standards, which makes it safe for applications where fire safety is critical.

Connectors of this type are commonly found in the electronics and computer industries. They're used for a wide range of bussing, programming and board-to-board applications.
