These screen filters work by only allowing light to pass through the filter at certain angles, meaning viewers outside of this angle won’t be able to see your screen.

The main difference between these two filters is that a glare filter reduces glare from light, and a privacy filter can only be viewed at certain angles, therefore reducing the amount other people can view visually in person.
