FAQs
What's the difference between an offline and an online UPS?
An offline UPS supplies the AC mains power directly to the load under normal conditions and switches to the battery backup in the event of an outage. This means that there is a brief disruption of about 5ms (milliseconds) to the power supply. An online UPS supplies the AC electricity through a rectifier and inverter at all times, so there's no interruption in power.
