RS PRO Butt Splice Tube Terminals
RS PRO range of heavy duty copper butt splice crimp terminals manufactured from a pure grade copper base to BS2871 and electro-tin plated to BS1872,1984. These heavy duty copper butt splice crimp terminals are for use on multi-stranded cables and are available in a variety of sizes. The tube-shaped terminals act as a solderless cable joint allowing electrical current to flow safely from one wire to another. Professionally designed using high-quality materials, RS PROs range of butt splice terminals are used to repair, change or lengthen electrical circuits making them a great addition to any electrician's tool kit.
Splice Connectors are used to make quick splices or connections with two or more pieces of wire. These splices are normally crimped or soldered so that the power conducted from the source cable to the next cable is transferred at inacceptable conductivity and pull-out resistance performance level. Crimp butt splice terminals are attached by inserting the stripped ends of two stranded wires into both ends of the terminal. A crimping tool is then used to crimp both ends to ensure a tight connection between the wires.
